Natural baby care: Anissa’s top five products to use on bubs

Weleda Baby Care Starter PackWe’re very lucky and thrilled that busy mama Anissa from Beautifully Glossy agreed to make an appearance on the Echolife blog!

Today she’s sharing her top five products to use on bubs. If you have one or more littlies in your nest, don’t forget to head over to Beautifully Glossy (after you’ve finished reading!) to enter the Weleda Baby Products Giveaway Anissa is hosting until March 26th. Read on to find out what made Anissa’s list!

‘I don’t like to use chemicals on bub, we are exposed to so many chemicals in every day life and I don’t want to be putting them onto bub’s skin if I can avoid it. I’ve found some amazing natural skin care products that I use on bub and I’ve been really happy with them.

Burt’s Bees Baby Bee Diaper Ointment – When bub has nappy rash this is what I use. A little goes a long way and it heals up his nappy rash within a day. I’ve had the same tube since he was born (which is nearly 11 months ago), so it’s great value for money.

Sunspirit Calendula Ointment – I use this as my everyday protection cream for bub’s bottom because it is fragrance free, all natural and very gentle. (As an added bonus, it works really well to stick bub’s willy down so that he doesn’t wee out the side of his nappy.)

Audra James Newborn Baby Oil and 3 months + Baby Oil – These are both great, multi purpose products. When bub was little all I used on him was the Newborn Baby Oil. I used it as a bath oil, moisturiser, massage oil, colic treatment (I’d massage his stomach with it. It contains chamomile which helps relieve colic and stomach discomfort) and cradle cap treatment. It is fragrance free and gentle for sensitive little newborn bubs.
Once bub got a little older I started using the 3 months +Baby Oil on him. This one smells amazing! I use it in the same ways that I used the Newborn Baby Oil.

Weleda Baby Starter Care Pack – This is a great little pack to take to hospital or when travelling. The shampoo and body wash smells lovely and is very gentle on bub’s skin. The calendula oil is a great body moisturiser and can also be used as a bath oil and the nappy change cream is gentle enough to use at every change. The little sizes are great to carry around in a nappy bag too.

Gaia Hair and Body Wash – I started with a travel size of this then bought the full size because I love it. It has a gorgeous scent, is gentle on bub’s skin (even when he has a rash), makes big bubbles in the bath and can be used as a shampoo too.’

Thanks so much Anissa for sharing your favourite products and bub-pampering tips!
